Contract Operations
We provide contract services and operations that allow the establishment of everlastings at any site, small or large.Our ten-step program to a successful everlasting site includes:
- Spray-topping in the year prior
- Appropriate herbicides to control weeds prior to seeding
- Soil preparation - site dependent - may require cultivation, harrowing, grass removal to enhance seed:soil contact and germination
- Seeding site – either broadcast by hand or with modified seeding equipment
- Harrowing of seed into seed bed
- Fertilising with compound fertilizers at seeding time
- Pest control with slug pellets in fertilizer, and residual control at seeding time
- Follow-up fertilizer with urea
- Selective control of grass weeds, and spot spraying of weeds during the season
- Pest control

Fresh Flowers
The everlasting flower remains quite exquitite, simply picked straight from the paddock to a vase.
After picking a bunch, the flowers remain amazingly 'fresh looking' and 'bright coloured' for up to 6 weeks. During this time, the juvenile flower heads eventually open, to continue the spectacular array of fresh flowers. When the flowers are finished in the vase, the stems can be hung upside down in a dark area, to turn into a bunch of dried flowers, for continued enjoyment."I just received some photos from our photographer today. I have attached the ones of the tables and everlastings for you. We had such a fabulous day and the everlastings worked beautifully. So many people commented how gorgeous they were, not only for their colour and the way they looked, but also for the uniqueness and symbolism of them at a wedding. Tips to retain freshness and reduce deterioration in the vase:
- Change water regulary (daily if possible)
- Strip the stems of leaves
- Keep vase in a coolish place, or living area in the home
- Be aware that flower heads open during the day, and close at night, based on exposure to light.
